Hi, I’m Jeremy

I love being in the trenches with founders and teams, guiding them through the thick and thin of finding success and achieving excellence.

At work

I’ve worn a few hats over the years: CEO, Philanthropic program director, research assistant, graduate student, and coach.

In all that I do, I have a deep-rooted desire to make things better, to push for excellence, and to leave a mark that matters. Ultimately, my purpose is to help others unlock their true potential.

Away from work

I’ve been married for over twenty years to my college girlfriend, Beth. We live in Farragut, Tennessee with four pretty good kiddos, two dogs, two cats, and a turtle. Unsurprisingly (?), our home is a bit chaotic, but it is filled with love. We always seem to find ourselves hanging out in the kitchen, eating good food, feeding the dogs secretly, talking over one another, and mostly laughing the whole time. On weekend nights, you can find us sprawled around the living room for ‘family movie night.’ And though there is typically tension and family-style bickering the whole way, we do love to get away for a hike in the Smoky Mountains. Fortunately, the kids remember the hikes, not the arguing. I may have sprouted a few gray hairs, though.

When I’m not with my family or at work, you can find me at the ball field. I’m the Head Coach of an 8th-grade football team. I believe in the power of sports as a platform for personal development. This aspect of my life enriches my professional development, offering a well-rounded perspective on motivation and team dynamics. It's here, on the field, where I see the parallels between leading a team at work and coaching one in sports. Both are about lighting that fire of motivation and pushing everyone to achieve the success they seek.

Experience Profile

  • Executive Leadership

    Co-founder and CEO of EverFree:

EverFree is rapidly transforming outcomes for human trafficking survivors around the world through an innovative approach to improving survivor care. To make this impact possible, two organizations (10ThousandWindows and Willow International) chose to merge in 2021.

I spearheaded the entire merger process, transforming the vision of a powerful partnership into reality. I guided negotiations between the Boards of Directors, navigating through the complexities to foster a consensus. I successfully led our integration process, melding two organizational cultures and operations into a cohesive unit. I oversaw the creation of EverFree's strategic vision and objectives, laying a solid foundation for a future geared toward greater impact in the fight against trafficking.

Finally, I initiated a seamless executive transition, overseeing the appointment of EverFree's new CEO, ensuring continuity and stability during a period of significant change.

    CEO of 10ThousandWindows

10ThousandWindows was a global leader in helping human trafficking survivors break the cycles of poverty and exploitation by providing educational opportunities, job readiness training, and coaching.

As CEO of 10KW, I catalyzed a fledgling organization to a sustainable future through collaboration with the board, funders, and local Filipino staff. Over four years, we increased the organization's funding by 60%, enhancing our capacity to support survivors. I ensured that frontline staff received the necessary training and support to manage the challenging aspects of our work, resulting in minimal turnover for five years, even during the COVID pandemic.

In 2019, I initiated a growth strategy that culminated in a successful merger with Willow International and the formation of EverFree in 2021, accelerating our impact on human trafficking survivors.

  • Philanthropy and Social Impact

For over 10 years, I focused on philanthropy, specifically in grantmaking and stewardship, carefully selecting projects that matched donors' priorities. My role contributed to a program that awarded over $5 million in grants to anti-trafficking groups across Southeast Asia. This effort helped enhance their operations and overall impact, demonstrating a commitment to listening, thoughtful investment, and appropriate guidance.

In this role, I took steps to streamline strategic planning and internal processes, aiming to improve our organizational effectiveness.

My work also involved fostering a stronger support network for partner organizations by linking them with new donors and funding agencies. These actions were geared towards facilitating better resource allocation and encouraging collaborative efforts within the anti-trafficking community.

In various consultancy roles, I focused on advising projects related to strategy, funding development, and evaluating impact. My approach included detailed analysis of nonprofit organizations to help shape strategic partnerships and decision-making. Through this, I aimed to modestly support the strengthening of operational capabilities and the amplification of impact within the philanthropic sector.

  • Coach

I love sports. I love coaching youth sports. I’m a former college athlete and have more than 10 years of experience coaching ball - all volunteer and every bit of it meaningful!

I’m the Head Football Coach for Farragut’s (TN) 8th grade football team. Football has always been an important part of my life, and I've been influenced tremendously by the great coaches I've had. Previously I volunteered for 5 years as a Wide Receiver Coach for a local high school.
